In 1995, Ray Orgill and his basketball teammate, Rob Yardley, decided to take a shot on a full service fire protection and water works business together.

The new business would be funded by Rob's father, basketball Hall of Famer George Yardley.

The most obvious name choice was Yardley-Orgill Company. The problem was that no one would remember such a long name.

Yardley-Orgill quickly became YO Fire and the rest is history.
